It takes about 22 hours, over a period of 3 consecutive days.

What are the requirements?

  • Candidates must be 16 or over

 

What qualification do I receive?

Upon course completion, candidates who succeed will receive a Highfield Awarding Body accreditation certificate. This certificate remains valid for three years.

What is covered?

The course includes key topics like first aider responsibilities, incident assessment, CPR, and AED use. It also covers helping with serious injuries, recognising signs of illness, and managing various emergencies. You will engage in hands-on practical training, utilizing our training AED machines and CPR Dolls.

After completing the course, you’ll be ready to assist with a wide range of situations, from unresponsive but breathing individuals to heart attacks and more. The assessment involves practical demonstrations and a multiple-choice test.

How long is my certificate valid?

Your certificate remains valid for 3 years. After this period, you’ll need to attend a 2-day re-qualification course to refresh your knowledge and stay updated on any new or amended legislation. Please click here for details of this course.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
