Periodic DCPC is Mandatory for all lorry, bus and coach drivers who passed a vocational driving category course prior to September 2009 and wish to drive commercially.
Periodic DCPC is Mandatory for all lorry, bus and coach drivers who passed a vocational driving category course prior to September 2009 and wish to drive commercially.
All PCV and LGV drivers are required by law to complete 35 hours of JAUPT approved training every 5 years to obtain their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). It is an offence to drive a vehicle without holding a DQC, it is also an offence to cause or permit another driver to do so.
The driver will also commit an offence if they fail to produce their DQC at police or DVSA roadside checks.
Drivers must prequalify within 5 years of DQC issue date. The next deadline for DQC qualification is 9th September 2018 For PCV Drivers and 9th September 2019 for LGV Drivers.
