What if I’ve already passed my medical and theory test?

How do I book this course?

Immediately after booking, you’ll receive an email confirming your order and providing details of your medical appointment.

Following the medical, we’ll initiate the process of obtaining your provisional license. This step may take several weeks for processing by the DVLA, so we recommend utilising this time for studying the theory & hazard perception tests.

Upon receiving your provisional license, we can schedule your theory tests. Once successfully completed, practical training can commence.

We are committed to accommodating your schedule for both training and testing to the best of our ability.

Across all DVSA test centres nationally, the average pass rate is approximately 60%.

Our current pass rate is comfortably higher, standing at just over 70%.

Which DVSA test centre do you use?

Our preferred test centre is Wrexham (Llay), and we usually schedule tests from there. However, due to availability, we might occasionally use test centres in Switch Island (Liverpool), Bredbury (Stockport), and Atherton (Manchester).

What if I’m not familiar with area around the DVSA centre?

No need to worry; our instructor will guide you through key test routes during your training. While we can’t cover every route, we’ll focus on challenging sections to ensure you’re well-prepared.

What if I fail one or more of my tests?

Even if you’re a highly skilled candidate, test day nerves can happen. We’re here to support you by offering additional training and testing as needed. Here are the standard retest fees:

Theory Retests:

  • Hazard Perception – £11.00
  • Multiple Choice – £26.00

Practical Retests:

  • £180.00 for a DVSA 3A retest (reverse test)
  • £300.00 for a DVSA 3B retest (practical test)

Every practical retest includes a minimum of 2 hours of extra training before the retest, along with the use of a vehicle and instructor during the tests. For candidates requiring more additional training, the cost is £60.00 per hour.

Do I need to take time off from work?

Yes, we’ll make every effort to accommodate your work commitments; however, it might not always be feasible. Here are the physical appointments you’ll need to attend along with their durations:

  1. Drivers Medical – 15 minutes
  2. Theory Testing – 2 hours
  3. Practical training – 2 full days

Please note that all timings are approximate and do not include travel time. While we can offer weekend training packages, DVSA test centres operate from Monday to Friday, so testing must occur during the week.
