What if I’ve already passed my medical and theory test?

If you’ve completed your driver’s medical and theory tests, you can proceed directly to practical training. Contact us at 0151 343 0588 or email [email protected] for an updated quote and information on upcoming availability.

What are the minimum requirements?

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid UK car driving license with the C1 provisional entitlement. Before starting practical training, candidates must complete a driver’s medical examination, apply for the C1 provisional license, and pass the theory and hazard perception tests.

For the Drivers Medical, we recommend using D4Drivers: https://d4drivers.uk/.

You can book your theory test directly with the DVSA here: https://www.gov.uk/book-theory-test.

Our current pass rate is comfortably higher, standing at just over 70%.

Our preferred test centre is Wrexham (Llay), and we usually schedule tests from there. However, due to availability, we might occasionally use test centres in Switch Island (Liverpool), Bredbury (Stockport), and Atherton (Manchester).

What if I’m not familiar with area around the DVSA centre?

No need to worry; our instructor will guide you through key test routes during your training. While we can’t cover every route, we’ll focus on challenging sections to ensure you’re well-prepared.

What if I fail one or more of my tests?

Even if you’re a highly skilled candidate, test day nerves can happen. We’re here to support you by offering additional training and testing as needed. Here are the standard retest fees:

Practical Retests:

Yes, we’ll make every effort to accommodate your work commitments; however, it might not always be feasible. Here are the physical appointments you’ll need to attend along with their durations:

  1. Drivers Medical – 15 minutes
  2. Theory Testing – 2 hours

Please note that all timings are approximate and do not include travel time. While we can offer weekend training packages, DVSA test centres operate from Monday to Friday, so testing must occur during the week.
