What qualification do I receive?

After completing the course, candidates receive a certificate valid for three years, with a recommended renewal every 3 years.

What is Covered:

In this course, you will cover essential topics, starting with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its impact on workplace manual handling. You’ll also explore the Manual Handling Regulations of 1992, including amendments made in 2002, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Additional legislation related to handling practices will be discussed to provide a comprehensive understanding of legal obligations. Gain insights into the human body, particularly the spine, and common injuries associated with manual handling. Master safe handling practices, utilize handling aids effectively, and develop skills in risk assessment for manual handling tasks.
