Our AITT or RTITB accredited MEWP Experienced Operator course is tailored for experienced candidates who do not have proof of formal certification. With a minimum of 12 months operating experience in the last 5 years, participants can expect a one-day training session that reinforces their knowledge and skills in operating MEWPs. The course covers essential topics, including machine controls, stability, working area setup, site adaptation, and environmental awareness. It also emphasizes safe hydraulic system usage, emergency lowering procedures, and harness application. Weight assessment techniques, pre-use inspections, and machine preparation for transport are also part of the curriculum. This refresher course ensures that experienced but uncertified operators stay updated on industry standards and maintain their proficiency in MEWP operation.
Types of MEWPs
Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) have different types, each suited for specific tasks. For instance, scissor lifts go up and down, articulating booms are flexible in tight spaces, telescopic booms extend reach, and personnel lifts are great indoors. There are also lifts mounted on vehicles, some for narrow spaces, and others for tough terrains. It’s crucial to pick the right type for your job.

This course is exclusively offered to our business customers. While our primary practice is conducting these courses at your location, we do offer the option of hiring vehicles to our training centre for individuals seeking training there. Please note that there is an additional fee for training at our centre.
