In our 1-day AITT or RTITB accredited MEWP Novice Course, beginners will receive thorough training to become skilled Mobile Elevated Work Platform operators. This course is designed for those with little to no prior experience, providing a strong foundation in MEWP operation. Participants will learn about machine controls, stability, work area setup, adapting to site conditions, and environmental awareness. They’ll also understand how to use hydraulic systems safely, handle emergencies, use harnesses, assess weight, inspect equipment before use, and prepare the machine for transport. With our expert guidance, novices will gain the knowledge and skills needed to operate MEWPs confidently and safely.
Types of MEWPs
Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) have different types, each suited for specific tasks. For instance, scissor lifts go up and down, articulating booms are flexible in tight spaces, telescopic booms extend reach, and personnel lifts are great indoors. There are also lifts mounted on vehicles, some for narrow spaces, and others for tough terrains. It’s crucial to pick the right type for your job.

This course is exclusively offered to our business customers. While our primary practice is conducting these courses at your location, we do offer the option of hiring vehicles to our training centre for individuals seeking training there. Please note that there is an additional fee for training at our centre.
