What qualification do I receive?
Upon course completion, candidates who succeed will receive a MHFA England accreditation certificate. This certificate remains valid for three years.
What is covered?
This course trains Mental Health First Aiders to recognise and assist with mental health issues in four sessions:
- Introduction to mental health, addressing stigma, and identifying depression at work.
- Covering suicide, substance use, crisis management, and enhancing listening skills.
- Discussion on anxiety, cognitive issues, personality disorders, and self-harm.
- Exploring psychosis, risk factors, disorders like schizophrenia, and crisis intervention.
Completing the course earns you a reference manual, support workbook, and Mental Health First Aider certificate.
