Please be aware that we are currently experiencing very high volumes of calls and emails, following the Government’s announcement regarding a number proposed changes to the structure LGV & HGV driver training.
Despite the recent announcements, neither the Government nor the DVSA have provided training companies with any timescales or additional information in regards how/when we are expected to implement the changes.
Our sales team are doing their very best to offer the most accurate an up-to-date advice, but we cannot provide any dates or prices for LGV/HGV training at this stage.
We will continue to update our website and social media pages over the coming days and will release prices and availability as soon as we possibly can.
For those customers at the very start of the process, please see the section below to find out exactly what you can do in the meantime to get ready for training once we are back up and running.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Although practical training is currently suspended, candidates can still complete first steps in the licence acquisition process. Here is what to do;
Step 1 –
Step 2 –
Book your drivers medical with your GP or nearest LGV driver medical centre (Make sure you take along the D4 Form)
Step 3 –
Send the completed D2 & D4 forms to the DVSA and wait for your licence to be returned
Step 4 –
Once you have your provisional licence, you will need to book the following;
- Theory Test (£26)
- Hazard Perception Test (£11)
- CPC Module 2 Case Studies Test (£23)
These tests are completed at your local Pearson’s Test Centres and can be booked online here.
Practical training can begin once the steps above have been completed (and hazard perception/theory tests have been passed).
