LGV DRIVING SCHOOL

Are you looking to jump-start your career by gaining a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) or Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) licence? With the UK losing an average of 4,000 HGV drivers every year, there’s never been a better time to get behind the wheel of an HGV.
With an average starting wage of £32,500 per year, and the potential to earn up to £50,000 per year with experience, a career as an HGV driver can be extremely rewarding. The industry is currently facing a driver shortage, which means plenty of job opportunities are available for those with the right skills, qualifications, and experience.
If you’re looking to start a career as an HGV driver, TL Training can help. Our LGV driving school can give you all the training you need to progress up to a Class 1 (C+E) licence, allowing you to drive any combination of vehicle and trailer, right up to the largest vehicles in the logistics industry.
What Training Do You Need to Become an HGV or LGV Driver?
If you want to become an HGV or LGV driver, you’ll need to complete a training course that covers both the theory and the practical skills examination taken at an approved DVSA test centre. Much like learning to drive a car, any individual can learn to drive an HGV with the correct training.
At TL Training, our team of qualified and experienced instructors will provide you with all the training you need to obtain your Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C). Our LGV driving school allows you to graduate straight from a car licence to a Class 1 licence if you so wish, and we also accommodate those with existing licences looking to upgrade to a Class 1.
What’s Included in TL Training’s LGV Driving School?
While your specific course will determine how much time you spend at our LGV driving school, someone looking to undertake our Car to Class 1 (C+E) Driver Training can expect the following:
- Drivers Medical (Booked at a date and time to suit you)
- Provisional Paperwork
- Online Theory, Hazard Perception & CPC study package
