The CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) work alongside companies to support them with any challenges they may face. Their pledge is to “continue to talk and listen to the industry, to research and survey, to question and analyse so that we can stay ahead of change and respond to sectors evolving needs”.
At TL training we have a team of skilled and supportive trainers who are able to provide informative, interesting and completely jargon free CITB training courses in North Wales to businesses and individuals.
One of the CITB courses we provide is the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS). As stated in its title, the 2 day course is aimed at site supervisors. Candidates will gain an understanding of the health, safety, welfare and environmental issues that can arise within the industry and how to tackle these matters.
What Does The CITB Site Supervisor Course Cover?
The course covers many important topics, such as:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
- Effective toolbox talks
- Supervision of occupational health
- Behavioural safety
Upon completion of this course, candidates will receive their SSSTS qualification, with a certificate lasting 5 years. In order to remain qualified, candidates must attend the SSSTS refresher course before their original certificate expires.
TL Training also offers this refresher course, which is a 1 day course designed to update your current knowledge and enable you to become familiar to any changed made to practices, policies or procedures.
Our CITB site supervisor training course has been endorsed by BUILD UK as a required standard to be met by all supervisors working on BUILD UK sites.
