This course is aimed at operatives and supervisors using ladders or steps and working at height in the workplace. Using a ladder can present many risks to workers safety if they are not competent in using them correctly and safely.
The course provides a complete introduction to ladder safety and provides you with the ability to recognise when it is appropriate to use a ladder or step ladder, and to correctly use and position the equipment safely. Upon completion of the course, candidates will have a solid understanding of the relevant health and safety legislation and be fully aware of the measures required to control the risks involved in the use of ladders and step ladders.

- Current legislation regarding the use of ladders in the workplace
- Hazards when using ladders and step ladders
- Pre-use inspections
