Lean Six Sigma Training Courses Delivered Across the UK

Lean Six Sigma training courses give businesses a structured way to cut waste, reduce process variation, and build a workforce that knows how to solve problems rather than work around them. At TL Training, we deliver the full belt progression, from White Belt through to Black Belt, at client sites across the UK and from our training centre on the Wirral.

Most of our Lean Six Sigma work is delivered on-site, which tends to be the best fit for businesses training groups together or wanting the content shaped around their own processes and examples. For individuals or smaller cohorts, our open courses at the Wirral centre give you the same certification in a mixed-group setting.

Why Businesses Across the UK Invest in Lean Six Sigma Training

The commercial case becomes obvious once teams stop treating inefficiency as a fact of life and start treating it as a problem with a root cause that can be found and resolved. The outcomes that tend to follow include:

  • Reduced operational costs through the elimination of waste, rework, and process steps that add no value for the customer.
  • More consistent quality as variation is identified, measured, and brought under control using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control).
  • Faster cycle times once bottlenecks, handoffs, and unnecessary waiting are properly mapped and addressed.
  • Stronger problem-solving capability across the team, with people who can lead improvement projects rather than just participate in them.
  • Better engagement from employees who get to contribute ideas and take ownership of how their work gets done.
  • Credible, portable certification through CPD-accredited qualifications that hold weight beyond your own organisation.

Most businesses find there is more waste sitting in their day-to-day processes than they ever expected to find, and a structured improvement capability is what turns that into recovered cost and time rather than just a list of frustrations.

Our Lean Six Sigma Courses

We deliver the full belt progression, so whether you are looking for a broad awareness session for a whole team or an advanced qualification for someone leading transformation projects, there is a course that fits. Each level builds on the last, and most businesses start by identifying who needs what based on the roles people play in improvement work.

White Belt (1 Day)

The Lean Six Sigma White Belt is an introductory course giving employees a basic understanding of process improvement principles. It suits anyone who will be part of improvement projects without leading them, and works well as a team-wide foundation before rolling out higher belts to specific individuals. Delivered on-site across the UK.

Yellow Belt (2 Days)

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt builds on White Belt concepts with more practical problem-solving tools and techniques. Yellow Belts typically support Green and Black Belt projects within their own departments. Available as an open course at our Wirral centre or delivered on-site for teams.

Green Belt (3 Days)

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt equips people to lead improvement projects within their teams or departments, with deeper training in statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving. Yellow Belt certification is required to enrol, and the course is available at our Wirral centre or on-site nationwide.

Yellow and Green Belt Combined (5 Days)

The combined Yellow and Green Belt course is a fast-tracked route to Green Belt certification for people who do not already hold a Yellow Belt. Five consecutive days covering Yellow Belt fundamentals followed by full Green Belt content, ideal where time constraints make phased training impractical.

Black Belt (5 Days)

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is the advanced qualification for those leading complex improvement projects and driving significant business transformation. Green Belt certification is required, and this course is delivered on-site at client premises only, given the depth of application and project work involved.

A full breakdown of each belt level and pricing is available on our Lean Six Sigma courses overview page.

On-Site Delivery of Lean Six Sigma Training Courses Across the UK

Most of the Lean Six Sigma training we deliver happens at client sites, and for good reason. When a group learns together in their own environment, the exercises draw on the real processes, real hazards, and real commercial pressures people are dealing with every day. It also means the whole cohort works from the same instructor, the same examples, and the same shared language, which matters once everyone is back in their roles trying to apply what they have learned.

We cover most of the UK for on-site delivery, including England, Wales, and Scotland, and we tailor content to your sector and operational context wherever that adds value. Whether you are a larger manufacturer consolidating a group training cohort or a small or medium-sized business looking for a practical starting point, on-site delivery tends to produce more applicable outcomes than sending delegates to open courses in ones and twos.

For individual learners or very small groups, the open courses at our Wirral centre remain a straightforward and cost-effective route.

Why Choose TL Training for Lean Six Sigma Courses?

We have been delivering Lean Six Sigma training for over a decade from our base in Merseyside, and our instructors bring genuine operational experience into every session. The focus is practical throughout, meaning delegates leave with tools they can apply to real work rather than concepts that stay in the workbook.

Certifications are CPD accredited and internationally recognised, which matters both for the individuals earning them and for the career and commercial value the qualification carries once they are back in role.
