First Aid at Work Courses
Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day) covers the essentials for lower-risk workplaces: CPR, AED use, choking, bleeding, shock and basic injury management. It’s the minimum standard for many small businesses and gives designated first aiders the core skills to respond confidently until help arrives.
First Aid at Work (3 Days) is the full qualification for higher-risk environments. You’ll cover everything in EFAW plus advanced patient assessment, major trauma, medical emergencies, spinal injuries, fractures and extended care. This is what factories, warehouses, schools and construction sites typically need to meet their legal first aid requirements.
First Aid at Work Requalification (2 Days) refreshes your skills and renews your certificate if you already hold a valid FAW qualification. Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (FREC)
FREC3 (5 Days) equips first responders with the knowledge and hands-on capability to manage serious emergencies before paramedics arrive. You’ll revisit core FREC3 content through guided revision and scenario work, then demonstrate competency under assessment to gain the full Qualsafe FREC3 certificate.
FREC4 (5 Days) takes pre-hospital care further still. Building on FREC3, this Level 4 course introduces ECG interpretation, advanced airway support, pharmacology, major trauma, paediatric emergencies and mental health crisis response. Paediatric First Aid
Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 Day) gives you the skills to act swiftly in emergencies involving infants and children: CPR, choking relief, seizure recognition, anaphylaxis and injury management. It’s ideal for childcare staff, parents, youth workers and anyone responsible for children in community or sports settings.
Paediatric First Aid (2 Days) is the full qualification that meets early years and childcare regulatory requirements. Alongside all the emergency skills, you’ll cover common childhood illnesses, safeguarding, developmental considerations and ongoing care while waiting for professional help.
Specialist Qualifications
Emergency Medical Gases (1 Day) teaches the safe storage, handling and administration of oxygen and Entonox in pre-hospital settings. You’ll learn when medical gas therapy is appropriate, how to set up equipment correctly, and how to monitor patients during treatment. It’s particularly relevant for first responders, event medics and those progressing from FREC3.
