This course is aimed at operatives and supervisors who require the knowledge and skills to safely work with steps and ladders.
Ladder Safety Training address issues raised by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASWA) and the Working at Height Regulations 2005. Under the regulations every person in the chain, up to and including the user, has a duty of care both to themselves and others to know and understand the practical implications of working at height.
Candidates will become competent in assessing and determining when it is appropriate to use a ladder or step ladder, and to correctly position and safely use the equipment. The course also gives an appreciation of the hazards and measures required to control the risks involved in the use of ladders and steps.
